This blog actually began sometime back in 1985. Madonna didn’t yet need Botox, Michael Jackson was only on his second nose, and ARPANET–the daddy of the internet–was just coming into use. And two little girls from opposite sides of the same town met when they were placed in the same program together, thus sparking a lifelong friendship resulting in–ta da!–this blog.
Unbelievably, this is the only picture of the two of us together that I could find! Faces hidden to protect the innocent.
Born a week apart, we are both classic Virgos–perfectionists, analytical, organized, and definitely not risk-takers. We also have a problem with decision-making, which is why it took us six months to come up with a name for this blog, but we do love our lists. We also share a love of writing and the flaw of putting our own needs behind everyone else’s. We conceived of this blog as a way to channel our creativity, give us “deadlines” so we couldn’t put our needs/desires on the back burner, and provide a platform to share our thoughts and spark discussion.
Also, it just seemed like fun.
Here’s a little more about each of us (in case you really, really want to know):

She has blogged for various sites, from dieting to parenting to entrepreneurship. She also has an essay published in an anthology, “Remembering Our Angels”, and writes an occasional column for the local paper. She writes from Frederick, MD–when her kids allow her.
