To celebrate the season, our posts all month long will be dedicated to all things autumn and October. We wanted to take part in some of the blog challenges going on right now, but with both of us trying to maintain busy family schedules and focusing on finding more paying gigs, it didn’t seem feasible. Still, look for upcoming posts that dabble in some of the themed challenges going on this month, such as the “October Memoir and Backstory Blog Challenge” hosted by Jane Ann McLachlan.
We all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month (though after so many years of everyone and their brother wearing pink, buying pink gadgets, and having the pink ribbon waved in our faces, it’s probably safe to say that Breast Cancer no longer has an “awareness” problem). But did you know that it is also Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, culminating in a Remembrance Day on October 15th? Since this is a cause close to our hearts, we will also be sharing posts related to the topics of Pregnancy and Infant Loss and infertility.
We hope to “see” more of you this month! Be sure to invite a friend or two (or a dozen) to subscribe to our blog feed and Like our page on Facebook. We’re also working on a giveaway or two, so make sure you’ve liked our FB page, too! (hint hint 😉 )
In the meantime, check out these other happenings going on in the blogosphere:
Ultimate Blog Challenge: 31 Posts in 31 Days (One of our blogroll members is participating–stop by Raising the Curtain and say hi!)
Friday Faves at finding joy (this link will take you to one of her Friday Faves posts that explains how to participate)
NaBloPoMo – National Blog Post Month
Fall Back Into Blogging (this challenge is over, but it leaves behind many inspiring autumn-themed posts!)
If you know of any other challenges or blog events going on, please share them with everyone in the comments.
