Are you a planner? Do you agonize over decisions, weighing the pros and cons, making lists? Are you deliberate in your calculations and your plotting?
You are?
Then STOP.
Whatever it is you want to do—travel, write, paint, sing, run, learn the balalaika, whatever!—JUST DO IT!
Yes, it’s a cliché. Yes, it’s a classic marketing slogan. It also happens to have the benefit of being a good piece of advice. We all have something holding us back. Maybe it’s lack of money or time. Maybe it’s fear of failure. Maybe it’s the inner critic telling us we can’t.
It’s time to let it go. Want to visit the Amalfi Coast, but don’t have the money? Start small—get a passport, take an Italian class. Just do something.
Want to start running? Get off the couch and JUST DO IT.
Want to write a novel? Well, thinking isn’t writing. Park your butt, turn off the Internet, and write. Go on. Just do it.
What is it you’ve wanted to do? What’s holding you back? Leave a comment and let us know. Maybe you’ll inspire someone else.
Then, get out there and JUST DO IT.
