Though this is not a “parenting” blog, we are moms, so here’s our place to dish about kids and families.
Whether you have one child or seven, toddlers or teenagers, it’s safe to say that we moms all have similar hopes and dreams for our families. Beyond providing the basics of keeping them fed, clothed, rested and healthy, we also want to help them grow into the happy, well-rounded adults we know they are capable of becoming.
We also experience worry, anxiety, and the sense that we’re not doing enough for them; and we are especially guilty of not taking enough time for ourselves. We often feel frustration at the end of the day when items on our to-do list have not been crossed off, and we endure sleepless nights thinking about issues ranging from choosing the right school to winning the latest battle with a picky eater.
We’re not here to tell you what to do, or even to pretend that we have all the answers when it comes to parenting. The best thing we can do for each other as moms (and dads, and grandparents, and all caregivers) is to act as a resource and a support system. Glad you’re here!
